The City of White Plains Selected 100 Best Communities For Young People By The America’s Promise Alliance and ING

White Plains, New York. Today the City of White Plains was recognized as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People in the United States of America. Mayor Thomas M. Roach, joined by Superintendent of Schools, Chris Coulet and Youth Bureau Executive Director Frank Williams, watched the webcast of America’s Promise Alliance 100 Best Communities for Young People presented by ING. America’s Promise is a national competition to recognize local communities’ programs and initiatives aimed at supporting youth and ending the high school dropout crisis.
