Growing Up Green:
We call our planet “Mother Earth” for a reason. Its air and soil, heat and moisture, every element and system sustain our lives and the existence of all living things. From the earth, we get nourishment and all we need for health and wholeness. Mountains and valleys, oceans and deserts, water lilies and cactus, elephants and dragonflies – there is hardly a sight to behold that doesn’t inspire awe and wonder.
We have to take good care of our home here in the universe. One of the most important ways to do that is by trying to stop global warming. This section of “Greening White Plains” is dedicated to the youth of our City and what you, as our future, can do to care for our planet.
