City of White Plains-Applebee's Family of the Month“Family Day, A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children™” is a national movement that began in 2001 and encourages parents to frequently eat dinner with their kids and become involved in their children’s lives. Family Day is celebrated on the fourth Monday in September. The City of White Plains has extended Family Day to a year round celebration through a partnership with Applebee's Restaurants. Students from the White Plains Youth Bureau After School Programs entered a drawing and description of their families to win a free dinner with their family at Applebee's in White Plains.
