Program Director: Adrienne Rivers
Club Excel is a 21st Century Community Learning Center operated in partnership with the White Plains School District as an after school program for middle school students in White Plains. Its mission is to provide a safe, welcoming environment that fosters youth development while providing students with academic assistance and cultural enrichment.
The goals of Club Excel are to expose the participants to a broad variety of experiences and activities and to help them develop the skills that will help them evolve as responsible, contributing members of society. Hence, Club Excel strives to offer workshops in its five clubs – Club Arts Excel, Club Read Excel, Club Fit Excel, Club Tech Excel and Club Life Excel – that are unique, engaging, fun and informative.
Club Excel offers programming on regular school days at Eastview and Highlands. The program day begins at dismissal (after “X” period) until 5:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Club Excel will begin
Monday, October 2, 2006 and end Friday, June 1, 2007.
