Intergenerational Programming
Provides an opportunity for our young as well as more mature adults to learn together, play together and provide community services together. The Veterans History Program focuses on adolescents interviewing War veterans from past wars to be videotaped and sent to the National Archives in Washington D.C. to preserve history. The tapes are also shown on our local cable station. The Intergenerational Advisory Committee, composed of youth and seniors, meet once a month to plan, implement and evaluate activities for our Intergeneration initiatives. If you are a middle/high school aged youth or a senior member of White Plains and are interested in becoming a part of our Intergenerational Programs, call Deveria Searcy at 422-1378.
