You know how important the Census is: it will determine congressional representation, help determine how hundreds of billions in federal funding are distributed each year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. As we recover from COVID-19, the Census will likely be even more important for determining federal aid.By now, everyone should have received in the mail an invitation to go online and participate in the Census. This mailing includes your unique Census ID number. Please take a few minutes and go online with a computer or telephone and complete the census. If you need help completing the Census, or have questions, call the White Plains Public Library, Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm at 914-448-4859. The librarians are trained to assist you.If you need help in Spanish, call El Centro Hispano during the same hours, 914-289-0500.And tell your friends and neighbors.Remember we are standing together by staying apart.
If you are experiencing symptoms associated with coronavirus, please call either the White Plains Hospital Hotline at (914) 681-2900 or the NYS Dept of Health Hotline at 1-888-364-3065.
