New York State now has just shy of 300,000 positive cases. The total number tested in Westchester is almost 91,000; the number of people who have tested positive in the county is 28,626. The county currently estimates the number of active cases in the county to be 7,679. The current number of Westchester residents hospitalized in the county due to Covid19 is continuing to improve at 861. The cumulative number of people who have tested positive in White Plains since testing began is 1,295.
Tomorrow night at 7pm we will once again clap for essential workers. Let’s make some noise and let them know that we appreciate the work that they are doing.

Westchester County taxes are due tomorrow April 30th. The City of White Plains is required to collect these taxes and forward them to the county. We are waiving the penalty and interest fees on the County taxes until July 15 2020 for individuals and businesses who request an extension, submit proof of financial hardship as defined by the county and who are otherwise eligible under the guidelines established by the county. As a reminder, individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 which include fever, cough and congestion can walk in to be tested at White Plains Hospital Emergency Department.
