New York State now has more than 321,000 positive cases. The total number tested in Westchester is over 100,000; the number of people who have tested positive in the county is over 30,000. The county currently estimates the number of active cases in the county to be 3399. The state has has assigned addresses to large number of cases where addresses were
initially unknown which has resulted in a sudden significant increase in cumulative case numbers for localities. Most of these cases date back to March and early April so the increase does not represent a sudden wave of new cases. We are informed by the county that the cumulative number of people who have tested positive in White Plains since testing began is 1573 and the currently active cases in the city is estimated to be 231. The number of new cases reported in White Plains today is 12.

Today is National Nurses Day! Please join me in thanking our nurses for what they do every day for our benefit!

Tomorrow is Thursday which means we will be clapping to show our appreciation for nurses and all essential workers at 7pm please join us!

As a reminder, individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 which include fever, cough and congestion can walk in to be tested at White Plains Hospital Emergency Department.

If you have not already done so, please take the time to fill out your census forms. The participation rate is very important for future government funding, so it is vital that all White Plains residents complete the forms. Why not do it tonight? If you have questions, you can call: 914-448-4859.

Stay with it, WP! Our next call is scheduled for Friday until then, Remember we are standing together by staying apart!

¡Únase a nosotros!
