If you are interested in seeing the Westchester County map of COVID cases, which is updated each weekday, we have made it available on our website, cityofwhiteplains.com on the “AttentionWP” alert bar.

We have entered the phase of the pandemic sometimes referred to as adaptive recovery. We are all learning to live and manage our lives in this new environment. Using common sense practices like hand washing, social distancing, and mask wearing we have significantly reduced the spread of the virus. New data suggests that in addition to protecting others, mask wearers may have less severe impacts from the virus than non-mask wearers if they do contract the virus.

We should all be proud of what we have accomplished as a community to control the virus. We must continue our common sense practices to ensure we don’t slide backwards.

Our next call is scheduled for Monday, August 3rd. Until then remember, we are standing together by staying apart.
