Summer Camp in White Plains - Apply Now!
Due to Limited Capacity - Campers Must Apply Now for Lottery
The City of White Plains will have applications available for summer camp for residents only beginning on Tuesday, February 23.
As a result of COVID-19 guidelines, there will be limited capacity available at each camp and selection to the camp will be determined by lottery. There are specific dates for each camp in which applications will be accepted and a lottery held. Only completed applications with immunization records will be accepted for the lottery.
Applications are available at: www.cityofwhiteplains.com or may be picked-up at the Recreation and Parks Office, 85 Gedney Way, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or at the Ebersole Ice Rink during public skate sessions beginning February 23.
Camp will be held for 4 weeks, starting Monday, July 12 through Friday, August 6. All camps will be held outdoors unless there is inclement weather. Campers will be bused to the pool and to local trips.
Registration is for all 4 weeks only! There will not be early arrival or late dismissal options available this year. Temperatures will be taken daily and masks are required for everyone. We will follow all guidelines established by the Westchester County Department of Health.
Camp Panawok for grades: Entering K-2 will be held from 8:30-12:30 p.m. each day and will be located at Ridgeway Elementary School, on Ridgeway. Applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, March 10, 8:30 a.m. until Friday, March 12, 4:30 p.m. Lottery selection for Camp Panawok will be held on Monday, March 15 and those selected will be notified by phone. A $250.00 deposit will be required by Friday, March 19.
Camp Quarropas for grades: Entering 3rd-4th will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. each day and will be located at Delfino Park, 104 Lake Street. Applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, March 17, 8:30 a.m. until Friday, March 19, 4:30 p.m. Lottery selection for Camp Quarropas/3rd-4th grade will be held on Monday, March 22 and those selected will be notified by phone. A $250.00 deposit will be required by Friday, March 26.
Camp Quarropas for grades: entering 5th-6th will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. each day and will be located at Delfino Park, 104 Lake Street. Applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, March 24, 8:30 a.m. until Friday, March 26, 4:30 p.m. Lottery selection for Camp Quarropas/5th-6th grade will be held on Monday, March 29 and those selected will be notified by phone. A $250.00 deposit will be required by Tuesday, April 6.
*Siblings attending the same camp will be accepted if selected. We cannot consider siblings at different camps. No Exceptions.
**Individuals requesting a scholarship MUST have their 2020 Completed Federal Tax Forms or proof of SSI.
In addition the Recreation and Parks Department will be offering a Drop-In program for 7-9th Graders. The program will be held 3 days a week: Monday / Wednesday / Friday from Monday, July 12 through Friday, August 6, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Gardella Park/Pool. A recreation leader will be present in the park to engage youth in sports activities. The pool will be available for their use. Registration is by purchasing a Summer Pool Pass for $25.00 per child
