Grandpas United, a program of the White Plains Youth Bureau, is pleased to announce its First Annual Civic Engagement Awards Program to honor high school seniors who have developed
the combination of knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to make a difference in their community. Six awards of $500 will be given this year, made possible by generous donations to Grandpas
United’s Civic Engagement Awards Program. Applications can be downloaded at www.whiteplainsyouthbureau.org or requested by email to email@example.com.
Students are eligible to apply for an award if they are on track to graduate in June 2021, attend White Plains High School or are associated with White Plains Youth Bureau Programs. Students
may apply directly or be nominated by members of the community. The deadline for submissions is April 9, 2021.
Applicants must demonstrate one or more of the following civic engagement activities – exceptional dedication to community service, be a role models to peers and the wider
community, show a commitment to addressing issues of inequality and social justice, or have the ability to get others involved in the community.
