Reggie Williams is a dynamic speaker, experienced leader, and inspirational social reformer. He will be discussing his recent memoir that follows the story of his life - ex-NFL linebacker, former Disney executive, renaissance man, and the epitome of determination in the face of extreme challenges.
He played 14 seasons as a linebacker for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and received numerous honors, including Sports Illustrated’s Co-Sportsman of the Year (1987).
Following his retirement as an NFL player, Mr. Williams entered management in the World League of American Football and again in the National Football League. He conceived and opened the NFL’s first Youth Education Town in Los Angeles – one of its greatest community service success stories.
He later became an executive at World Disney Co. and was recognized as a leader in the world of sports, as evidenced by his listing in Sports Illustrated’s “101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports.” He was named by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the 50 Most Powerful Blacks in Sports and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Mr. Williams remains involved with many service organizations and is a proud Grandpa of three.
