Menorah Lighting: Chabad of Westchester will host a menorah lighting in Tibbits Park on Tuesday, November 30th at 5:00 PM. Fun games and treats!
Tree Lighting: The City of White Plains will light the beautiful 24-foot holiday tree in Fountain Park (Renaissance Plaza) on Sunday, December 5th at 5:15 p.m. The always popular White Plains High School Marching Band will be on hand to perform. Fountain Park is located on Main Street between Court Street and Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
Holiday Market: There's much to do in White Plains this holiday season! In addition to enjoying the lights in Fountain Park, Tibbits Park, and throughout the downtown, the City, WP BID, and 914PopUps will once again host the annual Holiday Market on Court Street (adjacent to Fountain Park) from December 5th through December 19th. The Market will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily with some late evenings. This COVID-aware market will feature over 60 vendors and artisans, food & drink and a Tree Farm, in individual open-air booths.
Downtown Cheer: In addition to the shopping available at the Holiday Market, there are plenty of additional opportunities to shop and socialize downtown. We suggest taking in the tree lighting, checking out the Holiday Market, and continuing into the heart of downtown for a bite to eat or a meet up with friends. Many of our local restaurants and shops are offering specials this holiday season. Go to: wpbid.com/holidayshopping to learn more.
Santa's Mailbox: And don't forget, Santa's Mailbox has arrived on the steps of City Hall and we have it on good authority that it will be here until December 14th. All mail goes express to the North Pole!
