The City of White Plains has been working with Westchester County and Cornell Cooperative Extension to get the word out on how to identify and eliminate a highly invasive insect called the Spotted Lanternfly, which is being seen more frequently throughout White Plains, and surrounding areas.  These colorful insects don't bite or sting - but they will kill a lot of trees, shrubs and plants wherever they proliferate.
