The White Plains Youth Bureau, the Coalition for Living Wellness, and National Amusements will be screening the nationally acclaimed documentary “SCREENAGERS: Navigating the Digital Age” on Monday, September 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the Cinema Delux Theater (City Center) in White Plains. SCREENAGERS, probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
The screening will be preceded by a presentation by renowned speaker Dr. David Greenfield, Founder and CEO of the Center for Internet and Technology Addiction. Dr. David Greenfield is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Univ. of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is the author of Virtual Addiction and numerous medical journal articles and book chapters; Dr. Greenfield has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox News, ESPN, NPR and HBO.
