The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides the City of White Plains with annual federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The City is required to develop a Consolidated Plan to direct how CDBG funds will be invested in the community over the course of the next five years. These funds must primarily assist low- and moderate-income residents by providing decent, affordable and accessible housing, expanding economic opportunities and by funding services providing support to vulnerable populations such as the homeless, elderly, and youth.
The City of White Plains invites the public to provide input for the development of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan by participating in our Community Needs Survey and at upcoming public engagement sessions. The survey can be accessed at the link below:

The input received at the public
engagement sessions as well as through the survey will be used to develop a
Draft Consolidated Plan. The Draft Plan will be available for review and
comment early 2020.
