The 15th Annual White Plains Performing Arts Benefit program celebrating Today’s Performers, Tomorrow’s Stars is honored to have Broadway Star, Alton Fitzgerald White as the Artistic Honoree of the event. Alton’s credits include starring as Mufasa in the Lion King, Mister in The Color Purple, Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime, Ken in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, John in Miss Saigon and the Hawker in The Who’s Tommy. He made his West End debut as Ken in Smokey Joe’s Cafe in London.
The program also includes ballerina, Ingrid Silva a member of the Dance Theatre of Harlem since 2013. A performance by youth from the Harlem School of the Arts, led by Aubrey Lynch II. The Swapna Dance Academy will showcase Indian Fusion dance representing the voice of freedom and Youth Bureau and White Plains High School songstress, Selah Nicollette Armstrong.
Plus there will be a special tribute to former White Plains Youth Bureau Director, George Grant Hagens.
