Feeding Westchester 

Driven by the belief that access to healthy food is a basic right for all people, Feeding Westchester leads hunger action programs and mobilizes the resources needed to eradicate hunger in Westchester County.

Use this map to find food assistance in Westchester County. This tool can help you locate your nearest Food Pantry, Hot Meal Program, and Emergency Food Delivery. Please call ahead to confirm hours and availability.

Feeding Westcheter  has initiated drive thru food distribution at locations around the county. Sign up to be notified about upcoming drive-thru distributions, hosted by Feeding Westchester.

The Mobile Food Pantry travels throughout the county to deliver good nutritious food to Westchester communities with limited access to traditional food pantries

Family Services of Westchester  

RideConnect, a program of Family Services of Westchester, has been providing volunteer based transportation for over 10 years to older adults in Westchester & Southern Putnam counties. These rides are for medical, shopping, social visits, religious services and more. At this time, while RideConnect continues to provide this volunteer based transportation for critical medical appointments, they  have also enlisted volunteers to do essential shopping for older adults such as groceries, and medication pick-ups. Meals on Wheels White Plains 

Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers with a commitment to delivering both food and compassion to  neighbors in need. Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains serves members of our community who are unable to shop or prepare adequate meals themselves. They are making deliveries twice a week and providing a frozen meal for the days they don’t visit. has reconfigured its website to prioritize its digital resources and streaming media options. Access the Library website by clicking here: The Library also continues to send out weekly e-newsletters that highlight virtual activities and resources for adults, teens and children. The White Plains Public Library has launched Documenting COVID-19: White Plains Experiences and  wants to hear about you, what you’re doing, how you’re doing, what you see outside your window. Contributions to the Library’s collection can be anything, from a three-line poem to a 200-page diary, from a photograph to an oil painting.  To find out more about this project, and to submit your documents, visit:

United Way of Westchester and Putnam

As a convener and provider of resources, United Way has always been uniquely positioned in the community, in partnership with the nonprofit and government sector, to respond, provide assistance and support residents during times of uncertainty.  United Way has a 24/7 help line. Dial 211 and press “2” for connections to Coronavirus-related resources. 

DOROT of Westchester 

DOROT works with older adults, providing vital services and companionship to those who have difficulty leaving home without support.  Programs Include  Caring Calls, DOROT’s new program bringing warmth, conversation and social connection to older adults in isolation due to COVID-19 and University without Walls which offers popular programs in the arts, literature, current events and more, for more information visit .  

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) 

Offers  assistance to  seniors (age 60 and over) by phone. Their staff can provide information and referrals to help seniors get the resources needed. Seniors can call Judy Fink at (914)761-0600, ext. 2340.

  • 21 Virtual Support Groups to the local LGBTQ community
  • grocery runs for the most vulnerable (seniors, immune-compromised, and  those with special needs)

COVID-19 Contact Tracers, Team Supervisors and Community Support Specialists Needed
New York State (NYS) is launching a new, ambitious and urgent effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. The aim of this initiative will be to call every person diagnosed with COVID-19, establish all contacts of this person, and proceed to call and maintain ongoing communication with every contact

The City of White Plains

has waived interest and penalties on late payment of County taxes for qualified taxpayers.  County tax bills are payable until April 30th without penalties or interests, but for those taxpayers who meet the qualifying standards, the bills may be paid until July 15th without penalty or interest. The documents setting forth the qualifying standards for being eligible for the penalty and interest waiver can be found here.  You can email your penalty and interest waiver to or fax to 914-422-1236.

NYS Executive Order which Governs Moratorium on Eviction

The state’s moratorium on COVID-related residential and commercial evictions will be extended until August 20. New York is also banning fees for late or missed payments during the eviction moratorium. Renters facing financial hardship due to COVID-19 are also allowed to use their security deposit as payment and repay their security deposit over time.

NYS Executive Order 202.15

The Democratic Presidential Primary is reinstated for June 23, 2020, due to court order. Executive Order 202.15 allows voters who are affected by COVID-19 pandemic and wish to apply to vote by absentee ballot to utilize the absentee ballot application
