If so, then it's time to familiarize yourself with the City of White Plains Gedney Recycling Yard. At the Gedney Yard, the City provides a number of recycling opportunities for its residents.

Electronics - All electronics including TVs and monitors

Household Goods - At the Take it or Leave it (TiLi) Shed

Paper & Co-Mingled Bottles/Cans - Metal, glass and plastic bottles, cans and jars

Scrap Metal - Irons, metal kitchen utensils, pots and pans, toasters, wire hangers

Yard Debris - Grass clippings, small brush, twigs, plants and flowers

Grasscycling (PDF) - Grasscyle your way to a healthier lawn! Learn more about the benefits of recycling grass clippings in place.

Prescription Drugs - Safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs with the Department of Public Safety Prescription Drug Collection Unit.

Re-Use in Action: Donate & Recycle to Charities

Shoes - The City of White Plains annually partners with the not-for-profit Soles for Souls on a citywide shoe recycling drive held in the early spring leading up to Earth Day.
