Westchester Residential Opportunities, Inc.: Since 1968, Westchester Residential Opportunities, Inc. (WRO) has championed the expansion of non-discriminatory housing opportunities in our region for low- to moderate-income households, minorities, senior citizens and persons with disabilities, including the psychiatrically disabled. WRO is a HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency, a licensed real estate broker and a United Way agency. All housing services for consumers are free, and are funded by government grants, private contributions and corporate support.
Housing Action Council: The Housing Action Council has a mission to increase and improve housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households and special needs populations, including the homeless, elderly and disabled individuals throughout the Hudson Valley Region and surrounding counties.
Community Housing Innovations: Community Housing Innovations (CHI), established in 1991, guides families and individuals from homelessness to home by providing emergency, transitional and permanent housing with an array of supportive services, home ownership counseling, education and grant assistance, foreclosure prevention counseling and affordable housing development. All programs have the end goals of housing permanency and stability.
